Preventative Maintenance
– Rinsing
Electrodes
It is possible that salts will accumulate on the electrodes that are housed in the
BluePippin lid assembly. This may alter the performance of the instrument over time. An
empty cassette bod
y, labelled “Rinse Cassette” is provided with the BluePippin. This
should be used with the procedure below. No other preventative maintenance is
required.
Important! Electrodes should be rinsed after 5 runs or once per week, whichever is
more frequent.
21.1 Electrode Rinse Procedure
1. Fill the rinse cassette with deionized water.
2. Load the rinse cassette onto the sample tray and close the BluePippin lid.
3. Allow the electrodes to rinse for several seconds.
4. Open the lid and remove the cassette.
Note:
If a rinse cassette is lost or damaged contact Sage Science support for a replacement.
