A  sharp  cutter  guarantees  perfect  cutting  performance.  Before  using  the  machine,
always check the condition and firm seating of the blade. The blade fastening screw must
always  be  tightened  by  an  authorised  workshop.  If  the  blade  screw  is  tightened
excessively or insufficiently, blade coupling and cutter bar may be damaged or get loose,
which  can  lead  to  serious  injuries.  A  worn  or  damaged  blade  must  imperatively  be
replaced.

Changing the cutter bar

WARNING

The replacing of the cutter bar must be carried out by an authorised workshop.
Due to an incorrectly assembled blade coupling or an excessively or insufficiently
tightened blade screw, the cutter bar may become loose, which can lead to serious
injuries.

For replacement, use only original cutter bars. Non-equivalent spare parts can

damage the machine and are a safety hazard.

–

Replacement cutter bars must be permanently marked with the name and/or

company logo of the manufacturer or supplier and the part number.

Using a wrench, loosen the hexagonal nut and remove the washer and the wheels.

After the bearings have been lubricated with roller bearing grease

ce, attach the washer, fasten

using the hexagonal nut and tighten so that the wheels can turn easily but without
play. Reattach the wheel cap.

Grease the bearings using the roller bearing grease “KAJO

Do not grease the freewheel sprocket and the sprocket in the wheel!

Attach the wheel cover and push the washer onto the wheel axle. When fitting the

drive wheel, make sure that pinion and sprocket engage; slightly twist the wheel on
the axle, if necessary.

Attach the cone pulley, fasten using the hexagonal nut and tighten so that the wheels

can turn easily but without play. Reinsert the wheel cap cover.

Avoid injuries! Engine exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide and can cause

serious illness or death.
Do not run an engine in an enclosed area, such as a garage, even with doors and

windows open. Move the machine to an outside area before starting the engine.

IMPORTANT
For cleaning and maintenance work, do not put the engine or mower on the side,

but tilt it up at the front O (spark plug up); otherwise starting difficulties may
occur. When tilting the mower upwards, make sure that the ejection flap is not

damaged. Secure the mower in the raised position!

ATTENTION
When tilting the machine upwards, ensure that no oil or fuel comes out of the

machine. Fire hazard!

The regular implementation of the prescribed maintenance and care work are the

prerequisite for a permanent and fault-free functionality of the engine and also the basic
requirement for any guarantee claims.
The engine should be kept clean, particularly on the outside, and the silencer and cylinder

area must always be kept free from foreign bodies (e.g. grass residue). The engine and
exhaust reach very high temperatures during operation. Flammable foreign bodies such

as leaves, grass etc. may catch fire.
Perfect cooling can also only be ensured when cylinder ribs are always clean.

IMPORTANT
Never use a pressure cleaner or ordinary water jet to clean the engine. Damages

or expensive repairs can be the consequence of such action.

Oil change

NOTE

For environmental reasons, we recommend that the oil change is performed by an
authorised workshop.

The first oil change in a new engine is required after approx. 5 operating hours.

Later, it should be done every 50 operating hours or at least once per mowing season.

Before the engine or the device is tilted to drain oil, empty the petrol tank and let the

engine run until it stops due to lack of fuel.
