The selection of the backup directory
differs somehow from the same process
during the backup process: There it has
been necessary to specify the backup root
directory, now the actual backup directory
one level deeper which contains the
backed up files.
If the measurement modes of the SND40
device and the “
System.cfg
” file are
different in the backup directory, you will
receive a warning message before
copying; however, recovery may still be
possible.
Since the system files usually already exist
in the SND40 program directory, they are
initially renamed to "
System.cfg.old
" or
"
SystemEx.cfg.old
" before being restored
from the backup directory.
In case that the copy process has been
successful, the SND40 device must be
restarted to permit the changed files to
become active. A message dialog window
pops up and the number of copied files will
be displayed in the status bar. After
confirming the dialog by pressing "Yes" the
restart will be performed automatically.
10.5.3.3 Function „Restore program files“
This function copies all program configuration files from the selected backup directory into
the SND40 program directory.
The sequence of this function largely corresponds to the function "Restore system files" with
reference to the program files.
