3.14.3 Replacing V05-20-05 with V05-20-15 Module
When removing a Servo Power Module, V05-20-05 and replacing it with the newer V05-20-15,
the interpolator card (FBIR40) will need to be removed and discarded. RTE machines require the
interpolator card, if you have an RTE machine, do not follow the steps below.

Remove the four screws that retain the upper front face of
the Power Module. You will need to remove the seal in the
lower right, to reveal the lower right screw.

Pull the front face off of the module but take caution when
manipulating the wiring.

Locate the FBIR40
card, as shown in the
photo.

Remove the two
mounting screws and
remove the FBIR40 card.

Be sure to refer to the note below when installing
firmware, for the first time.

Reassemble the power module and return to
section 3.14.2 for installation of the Power Supply
Module.
