Tool Breakage Sensor
The tool breakage sensor is located on the spindle
assembly and is used to check the tool length before the
tool is returned to the magazine.
Wipe the bottom window of the tool breakage sensor
with a clean soft cloth to remove any oils or dust that
can build up on the sensor.
Note: Moving this sensor will affect the measurement of the
tools. Use caution when working on or around the sensor.
Clamping System
There are two types of clamping systems on the
Perforex machine;
Panel Clamps – Used for clamping flat panels,
doors and mounting panels.
Enclosure Clamps – Used for clamping Junction Boxes and Enclosures.
Each of these systems require some preventative maintenance and cleaning.

Panel Clamp Cleaning and Lubrication
The lower automated clamping systems incorporates a rotation movement and a clamping
action. Both movements require the cleaning and lubrication of the shafts. See Section 2.5
Rotating Clamp System for more details.
3.9.2
Enclosure Clamp Cleaning
The enclosure clamps are an automated pneumatic clamp which inflates when activated. No
lubrication is required. Regular cleaning will be required on;
Wipe off the air bladder clamps with a soft cloth, no solvents can be used.
Clean the motorized table pinion racks with a brush – to remove metal shavings or
debris.
Lubricate the motorized table linear bearings (4) – Semiannually.
