Y-Axis Motor Replacement
For all Perforex BC 1007/1008/2014 systems
3.19.1
Removal
Before starting the service procedure, remove the cover to the right side of spindle and
just behind the minimal lubrication door. This will give you access to the Y-Axis motor
assembly. Once the cover is removed, you can view the Y-Axis from the top.
Note: When removing the Y-Axis, the spindle assembly must be supported with either the original
shipping bracket, a jack, forklift or overhead crane. The motor brake is the only means of supporting
the weight of the spindle assembly and will fall if not supported properly.
If the Y-Axis can be jogged using DARC Service, continue with the next step. If the Y-Axis
is inoperable, skip to Removing Y-Axis Motor and Gearbox.
