Enter your user name and password, and then click [ OK ] .
To use the factory default account, enter no user name and type "password"
for the password.

Click [ TCP/IP ] .

Set [ WINS ] to active and enter the IP address of the WINS server in [ Primary
WINS Server ] and [ Secondary WINS Server ] .

Click [ Refresh ] .

Exit the Web browser.

Restart the printer.
Using telnet
A
Connect to the remote printer using telnet.

Use the "set" command to make WINS active.
msh> set wins on

Specify the IP addresses (primary and secondary) using the following com-
mands.
msh> wins primary IPaddress
msh> wins secondary IPaddress

To confirm the current configuration, use the "show" command.

Log out from telnet.

Restart the printer.
Using DHCP
You can use the printer under a DHCP environment. You can also register the
printer NetBIOS name on a WINS server when it is running.

Printers that register their NetBIOS name on a WINS server must be config-
ured for the WINS server.

Supported DHCP server is Windows NT 4.0 Server Service Pack 4 or later,
Windows 2000 Server and NetWare 5.

If you do not use WINS server, reserve printer's IP address in DHCP server
so that the same IP address is assigned every time.
