Moving and Transporting the Printer

Be sure to disconnect all cables from the printer before transporting it.
❒
The printer is a precision piece of machinery. Take care to avoid damage dur-
ing shipment.
• It is recommended that at least two persons are used to lift the printer. Oth-
erwise, the printer might fall and cause personal injury.
• When lifting the machine, use the grips on both sides. The machine could
break or cause an injury if dropped.
• Before moving the machine, unplug the power cord from the outlet. If the
cord is unplugged abruptly, it could become damaged. Damaged plugs or
cords can cause an electrical or fire hazard.
• When you pull out the plug from the socket, grip the plug to avoid damaging
the cord and causing a fire or an electric shock.
• When moving the printer, be sure to keep it level to avoid spilling the fuser
oil. If oil is spilt, wipe it with alkaline cleaner. Otherwise, the oily surfaces
can create the danger of slipping and personal injury.
