Inspect trailer connections:
•
connection should be inspected every time before connecting trailer to
tractor or second trailer.
5.3.7 REPLACEMENT OF THE PNEUMATIC LINE
Pneumatic conduits should be replaced when permanently deformed, cut or frayed.
REQUIRED SERVICE ACTIONS
Release all pressure from the system.
Reduction of pressure can be achieved by complete venting of air
tank, i.e. by pressing and holding the drain valve in that position until
the tank is completely empty.
Remove the pneumatic line by loosening the nut (2).
Cut off pneumatic line of required length (1).
Use damaged line as standard for measuring proper length of new
line. The ends of the pneumatic line (1) must be cut exactly at right
angles.
Install nut (2), clamping ring (3) and reinforcing sleeve (4).
Install pneumatic line and tighten nuts to the appropriate torque.
Check tightness of connection.
IMPORTANT!
The interior of pneumatic line must be clean.
Reinforcing sleeve (4) of the line must be thoroughly depressed.
