Hot Spare Policy
Use this function to designate a hot spare drive.
Global
means any logical drive in
need of a hot spare can use this one.
Dedicated
means that only the designated
logical drive can use this hot spare.
Note that a hot spare drive appears as Free under View disk assignment. In order
for the logical drive to use the hot spare, you must enable automatic rebuilding
(below). To set hot spare policy:
1.
Select the logical drive by ID number.
2.
If you want ot change the existing hot spare policy, type Y. If not, type N.
3.
Select a free disk by channel number as the hot spare drive.
4.
Press Enter to complete the action.
