Table 5.1 Terminal Settings
For a laptop serial cable, use a null modem DB9-to-DB9 serial
cable with a female connector on one end for the Control Blade
serial port. You can switch this serial connection between Control
Blades as needed.
Setting Up a Linux Minicom Connection
If you are using Minicom on a Linux laptop, you might need to
perform additional setup steps, enabling your serial port and
configuring Minicom for your serial device.
To enable your serial port and configure Minicom:
1.
Boot your laptop.
2.
Enable your serial port in the BIOS as your laptop boots.
3.
After the system has booted, start Minicom.
4.
Open the Minicom command menu by entering the following:
