Release 5.0
For example,

sets the time and
date to 10:43:04 A.M. on July 15, 2001.
2.
If you need to change the time zone setting, use the
timeconfig
command, in the following format:
#
timeconfig [
timezone
]
For example:
#
timeconfig EST5EDT
where
EST5EDT
is US Eastern Standard Time that changes
with Daylight Savings Time. (For a complete list of time zones,
see the
date
man page.)
3.
To ensure that the system hardware clock is set correctly, enter
the following:
#
/sbin/hwclock --systohc --utc
Repeat Step 1 through Step 3 for the other Control Blade.
Synchronizing
With External
Time Sources
If you want to synchronize the time on the BladeFrame BF200 with
the rest of your network (optional), you can set up both Control
Blades to set their time from external NTP servers.
Note:
If you have changed the internal management IP address, you
must complete this procedure.
To synchronize with external NTP servers:
1.
Open a management console session on a Control Blade.
2.
Log on to the Control Blade as
root
.
3.
Move or rename the
/etc/sysconfig/ifc/ntp
file.
The ntp script overwrites the
ntp.conf
file each time the
BladeFrame restarts. By moving or renaming it, you ensure that
the
ntp.conf
file is not overwritten with each restart.
4.
Edit the
/etc/ntp.conf
file to include the NTP servers with
which the Control Blade is to synchronize.
