15. S-correction
Description:
By each linearisation of the balance the S-correction is going to be lost in order to allow a correct
adjustment to the linearity of the balance range. Therefore after each linearisation the S-correction has
to be checked and rectified if necessary.
It should be
never
more digits corrected as show below, otherwise the balance needs again a
mechanical check (dismantle / assemble the balance again and if necessary change the flexures).

Calibration of the internal reference weight for gauged balances
- Switch on the balance
- Remove seal (if present) on the right-hand side of the housing's top
- Undo the screw (1) and remove
- Press the gauge switch (1)
- The calibration cycle starts automatically at page D 04.05
- At the end of calibration of the internal reference weight, assemble the screw (1) again
