13.4 Sample Status
The sample status fields provide a specific value for any faults reported by Red Lion. It
utilises a 13-bit binary code to display these faults:
Current system status of when the sample was made.
Binary 13-bit error code converted to Decimal Value:
0. Amplifier Status (Least Significant Bit)
1. Battery Status
2. Ethernet Status
3. Laser Status
4. Sensor Status
5. Heater Status
6. Blower/Pump Status
7. Valve Status
8. Unused
9. Sampling Status (1=stopped, 0=running)
10. Unused
11. Pressure Sensor Status
12. Ambient Temp Sensor Status (Most Significant Bit)
Example: 0001000000 (binary) = 64 (decimal) = Error with blower
Technicians can easily convert this code using a scientific calculator as illustrated
below:
The error code displayed in the operating log
is
4
. Using the calculator, the technicians
converts this to a 13bit binary code
0100
.
Reading from the RIGHT it can be seen that
the
1
is three from the right. Referring back to
the error code table, this is an ethernet
connection fault.
