Boots TEMP Limit

De ice boots switch has been inadvertently left in the ON position during climb or descent
through the boots temperature limit, or the boots switch has been inadvertently switched
ON without observing the boots temperature limits.
CAUTION
Operation of the pneumatic de-ice boot system in ambient temperatures
below -40 °C and above +40 °C may cause permanent damage to the boots.

Initial boot inflation sequence begins 20 seconds after deice boots activation, the
deice timer/controller allows deactivation of the deice boots in this initial 20
seconds dwell timer before inflation sequence starts, this to prevent damage to
the pneumatic de-ice boots due to inflation outside of their operating envelope
(-40 °C - +40 °C).
