Close the main instrument cover.

Plug in the mains supply cable and switch on the LS 55.
The performance of the LS 55 with the new lamp fitted can be tested using the FL
WinLab validation routine. A silica cuvette with deionized water is inserted into the
cuvette holder, and then the routine is started by selecting
Validate LS 55
on the
Applications menu in FL WinLab.
The routine will prompt you for the water-filled cuvette, then will measure and
display the signal-to-noise value for the instrument, and the wavelength accuracy.
