7.5 Changing the X-Ray Scintillation Plate Position
The X-ray scintillation module contains a scintillation plate which has two imaging positions

Set the scintillation plate position based on the subject vertical height (
Moving the Scintillation Plate to the Upper Position
Put the scintillation plate and cover in the upper position when imaging large subjects such as rats
(5.3 cm vertical height maximum).

Select the "Large Animal" option in the control panel (
The scintillator assembly moves to the service position. The software prompts you to manually
move the scintillator assembly to the upper position.

Changing the scintillation plate position is a manual process.

Put a check mark next to "Large Animal" option in the
control panel. Follow the instructions for

Uncheck the "Large Animal" option in the control
Panel. Follow the instructions for
Scintillation Plate to the Lower Position

IMPORTANT:
Ensure that the scintillation plate position and control panel are
synchronized as shown in
. For example, if the "Large Animal" option is
selected by check mark in the control panel, the scintillation plate must be in the
upper position for best image resolution.
