5.2
PRE-WELDING GAS PURGING
This function is necessary to protect the welded area from the harmful effects of atmospheric air and
consists in pre-cleaning the welded area with shielding gas against electric arcing. By default, the
blowing time
[Pre Flow]
is set to
1.0 seconds,
this value can be changed at any time at your
discretion.
The mode for changing the value of any function in the current welding method, see section 8.1.
5.3
INITIAL CURRENT (PILOT ARC CURRENT) SETTING
This function facilitates the welding process by means of a welding handle at the start of the arc
ignition. It allows the welding process to start at low current values, which only sustains the cycle
without increasing the heat input to the weld and without burning the material. When welding in inert
gas shielding with the
TIG - 4T
function, it is reasonable to heat up the welded area before welding.
The default value of the initial current
[Start Current]
is
40 A.
The mode for changing the value of any function in the current welding method, see section 8.1.
5.4
LINEAR INCREASE OF WELDING CURRENT
This function saves electrode wear, extends the life of the welding torch and facilitates its use. It
eliminates the formation of initial spatter of metal melted in the weld pool. In addition, during the
[
Rise Time]
period of the linear increase in welding current, the welding fixture can be positioned
exactly in the welding area because the initial point of the pre-arc is not always in the welding area.
The place of the weld area can also be preheated. By default, the period of the welding current is set
to
0.1s.
The mode for changing the value of any function in the current welding method, see section 8.1.
