7.5 Blockage Check
This test can be used to quickly check the Pipework before dismantling for cleaning.
1. Close both oil inlet and oil outlet isolation valves
2. In the LinerSCAN program ‘Stop’ all sensors from measuring, then adjust the settings:
a. Set the air-blast time to 30 seconds for all sensors
b. Set measure period to 1 minute
3. Use your hand or metallic object wrapped round the level sensor – to simulate a full sensor:
the green and Yellow lights must be on to read ‘full’
4. The sensor will now air-blast regularly – this can be felt by holding the flexible hose.
5. During the air blast, slowly open the RETURN valve. Air can be both heard and felt in the pipe
if it is clear. Once satisfied, close the valve.
6. During the air blast, slowly open each the INLET valve. Air can be both heard and felt in the
pipe if it is clear. Once satisfied, close the valve.
7. Complete the test by opening both valves
