4.2.1 Set Sensor Identifications (ID’s)
The program now will detect all the sensors present in the network by serial number and it will ask to match
the stored Sensor ID to the respective Cylinder number. It is advisable before starting the assignment to
take note of sensor’s serial numbers and location (scavenge oil drain/cylinder number). Serial numbers can
be found on one side of the sensor’s box or inside the door.
Note:
Sensor ID and Cylinder Number must match each other and reflect the installation.
When the software detects the first sensor the following dialogue box appears:
For this example, it will be assumed that the sensor with serial number 14437 has been installed on
Cylinder 1.
In this case sensor ID and cylinder number match each other (the sensor was installed on cylinder
1) so the operator needs just to select the right Cylinder number (1) using the drop-down menu.
Once selected the correct Cylinder number press the OK button to confirm the set up.
The window above will disappear. The software will prompt a new window indicating a sensor with
a different serial number.
!
Warning!
If the sensor is already assigned to the correct sensor ID there will no need to
set it again to the same number. In this case it will be only requested to assign the sensor to
the correct cylinder number.
