For other transmitters/receivers, refer to the literature provided by the manufacturer. If you are
new to radio control, many of these terms may be foreign to you. For the sake of brevity we
won’t go into those terms now, but we do strongly recommend that you take the time to
research any term or concept that is unfamiliar. Please remember to read and abide by your RC
transmitter’s instruction manual, as every system is different.
Instructions for Spektrum DX6i Configuration
1. Turn on the transmitter by sliding the "Power" switch to the right.
2. Click the roller once to access the "Adjust List".
3. Scroll right to highlight "Model Select" and click again.
4. Scroll right until you find an empty model (there should be nothing written under "Model
#").
5. Scroll right to highlight "Setup List" and click again.
6. Rotate the roller to “Model Type” and click once.
7. Select “Acro” by rotating the roller to highlight it and click once. (Note: unfortunately,
there is no way to disable the beeping noise the transmitter makes every time you scroll
or click).
8. Return to the “Setup List” by clicking on “List” in the upper-right hand corner of the
screen.
9. Scroll to “Model Name” and click once. Use the roller to name your model; we suggest
“ELEV-8 V2”.
10. Return to the main screen by holding down the roller for 4 seconds, then releasing.
11. Press and release the roller to enter the “Adjust List.” Rotate the roller to the right until
“Travel Adj” is highlighted and click once.
a. Scroll to the “Aile” setting; while holding the right (aileron/elevator) stick all the
way left, click once, scroll until the screen reads “50%,” click again to save. Now,
while holding the right (aileron/elevator) stick all the way right, click once, scroll
until the screen reads “50%,” click again to save.
b. Scroll to the “Elev” setting; while holding the right (aileron/elevator) stick all the
way up, click once, scroll until the screen reads “50%,” click again to save. Now,
while holding the right (aileron/elevator) stick all the way down, click once, scroll
until the screen reads “50%,” click again to save.
c. Scroll to the “Gear” setting; set the “Gear/Flight Mode” switch to 0, click once,
scroll until the screen reads “25%,” click again to save. Now, set the “Gear/Flight
Mode” switch to 1, click once, scroll until the screen reads “25%,” click again to
save.
You will need to keep this switch in the “1” position for normal flight
operation.
