Step 7: Apply Heat-Shrink Tubing to all Connectors 

In this step, the heat-shrink tubing will be applied to all of the bullet connectors that were 
soldered in Section 1. 

 
Warning!

 Risk of severe burns. Heat guns become extremely hot when used and produce air at 

several hundred degrees. Never put any body part or flammable item near the nozzle of the 
unit. 

Tools Needed 

● Heat Gun, Hair Dryer, or Soldering Iron 

Parts Needed 

● 32 – 1/2 inch (13 mm) lengths of 3/16” Heat-shrink Tubing, prepared in Step 6 
● 24 - Heat-shrink Tubing, 3/16" x 3/4" (part of accessories provided with each motor) 
● 4 – 1050 kV Brushless Motor (#750-90008) 
● 12 – Extension Wires, prepared in Step 4 
● 4 – Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) (#750-90009) 

Instructions 

1. For the “female” bullet connectors on the ESCs and extension wires: slide a piece of 3/4" 

heat-shrink tubing (HST) onto the connector until it is flush with the end of the connector.
