Step 33: Mount Receiver to Top Chassis Plate

If you have the ELEV-8 V2 No Flight Controller kit (#80202): the directions in
Section 7 are specifically meant for installing and connecting the HoverFly OPEN control board
only ​ . Use caution if attempting to adapt some or all of these directions for any other control
board. Parallax accepts no liability for the use of these directions with components not sold or
provided by Parallax for your specific kit.
With the receiver wired to the HoverflyOPEN Flight Controller, it is time to mount it to the Top
Chassis Plate where it will be out of the way of the battery and where the bind plug is still
accessible.
Tools Needed
● Diagonal Cutters (“Dikes”) or Scissors
Parts Needed
● 2 – Zip Tie, 4” (#700-00093)
● ELEV-8 Assembly, prepared in Step 32
Instructions
1. Use your fingers to bend the tip of the zip tie into the shape shown below.
2. Feed the zip tie through the back left corner of the Top Chassis Plate, as shown below. If
you are using a different receiver, you may need to alter the spacing of the zip tie, and
thus the slot through which you put it.
