CALIBRATION
IMPORTANT
: The white tile is dramatically affected by smudge marks and dust, and must be kept clean. It is
recommended that the device is cleaned regularly. Refer to the Cleaning section later in this manual for
procedure on cleaning the white tile and optics area.
The docking station has an integrated white tile. Device calibration frequency can be set from 1 to 24 hours. See
section Calibration Settings for additional information. A white icon
indicates that the calibration is current, and
the segments around the circle indicate when the next calibration is required. A red icon
indicates that a
calibration is required. When this occurs, calibration must be performed before any measurements can take place.
Any eXact 2 device can be calibrated on any docking station. The device is not tied to the calibration reference it
came with. The device reads the QR code on the docking station to know the calibration information.
