2. Turn the device right side up and proceed with the measurements.
Storing the Media Flattener
When not in use, push the media flattener back into to the device using your finger.
Exchanging the Filter Glass
The device comes with an Xp filter glass or standard filter glass installed depending on model. The eXact 2 Plus
comes with both filters. Follow the procedure below to exchange the filter glass in the eXact 2 if required.
1. Make sure the media flattener is in its retracted position.
2. Remove the standard filter glass by pushing the tab (1) on the filter towards the back of the device. Lift
the filter glass up holding the outer edges.
NOTE
: Do not touch the filter glass directly with your fingers to avoid finger prints and smudges on the glass.
3. Carefully lift the installed filter glass (2) out of the optics area using the tab.
4. Remove the other filter glass from the storage case and insert the
back edge (3) of the filter into the bottom side of the opening behind
the media flattener.
5. Place the removed filter glass into the storage case to protect it from
dirt or scratches.
