DENSITY
The main purpose for the Density tool is to automatically detect patch types and colors. Each measurement gets
automatically displayed with the function or list of functions determined by a predefined job for different patch
types. For example, a process may call for paper measurements to be qualified by L*a*b* and tint
measurements by TVI values. A properly configured job means that you do not have to manually switch between
functions as you measure different patches of a color bar.
The Density tool is a simplified version of the Jobs tool which runs simple measurements without using
standards.
Settings and functions can be reviewed and edited as needed before using Density.
To access Density:
1. Tap Density in the eXact 2 menu to access the screen.
2. Refer to the following pages for information on Density.
Main Screen
The screen consists of three main areas:
(1) Top Bar
(2) Data View area (with targeting if active)
(3) Function screens (when selected)
Top Bar
Used to access the eXact 2 menu, view the current function, select other density view options (patch type and
functions), and access density settings.
