User Manual Information

This manual is intended to provide setup, overview, operation, and general maintenance of the device. Specific
software application information is available in the software help system.

Certain functions and options described in this manual are not available on all eXact 2 models and can be
disregarded.

Packaging

Your device packaging should contain all the items listed below. If any of these items are missing or damaged,
contact X-Rite or your Authorized Representative.



Documentation

Power Button

The power button is used to initiate the device from a power off state. Simply press the button to turn on the
device. If the device does not power up after pressing the power button, the batteries may require charging.
Refer to Charging the Battery Pack.

When powered up, the device goes through a diagnostics test and displays a splash screen before the
measurement screen appears.
