SHUTTER IN: Shutter open input
While this input is turned on, the internal shutter opens. The control of this terminal is enabled when
SHUTTER ENABLE IN (X9) is ON.
There is a delay time of around 200ms to max. 1 second from turning ON/OFF of SHUTTER IN for the actual
shutter open / close operation time.
This terminal is available when the shutter open/close control method is set to I/O at the system settings of
Laser Marker NAVI smart.
X9
SHUTTER ENABLE IN: Shutter open enable input
Control by SHUTTER IN (X8) is available while SHUTTER ENABLE IN is turned ON. To control opening and
closing the shutter by SHUTTER IN (X8) only, short-circuit SHUTTER ENABLE IN (X9) and OUT COM.1 (Y2
or X12).
WARNING
• Do not use SHUTTER IN (X8) and SHUTTER ENABLE IN (X9) as an
emergency stop or the interlock.
Turning OFF these terminals during laser radiation will not close the shutter
until the marking completes.

X11
LASER STOP 1 IN
LASER STOP 2 IN or LASER STOP 1 IN
Use these terminals when you want to stop the laser radiation or disable the laser radiation temporarily.
When between LASER STOP 1 IN and OUT COM. 1 or between LASER STOP 2 IN and OUT COM. 1 are
disconnected, the laser radiation will be disabled.
The laser marker operation varies depending on its condition as shown below. For details, refer to “Laser
marker operation when functions for safety measures are input” (P.77).

• The function relating to safety must be shut off mechanically. Therefore, wire these terminal at no-voltage
contact (dry contact).
• If you need to shut off the laser pumping physically, user INTERLOCK 1 (X16, X17) and INTERLOCK 2 (X18,
X19) instead of these terminals.
X12
OUT COM. 1: Output common 1
The common terminal for each output of the I/O terminal block. X12 and Y2 are the common terminal
connected internally.
In case of NPN connection, this terminal is connected to the “- (minus)” side of power which is used for control.
In case of PNP connection, this terminal is connected to the “+ (plus)” side of power which is used for control.

ALARM RESET IN
The reset input for restoring the system from the alarm status.
Make sure to verify the safety by eliminating the alarm causes before turning this input ON.
The errors you can restore by using this terminal are as follows:
• E400 to E499
• E500 to E599
For the alarms you are unable to reset such as the ones caused by hardware or system error, restart the laser
marker.
