1. 1. 3 Levelness
The machine will operate without functional failures if its properly leveled (maximum grade
variance: Depth = +/-0.2" and Width = +/-0.4" or less).

The machine can operate with these specifications under the following conditions.

1. 1. 6 Warm Up
The system enters the Ready mode within 45 sec after Power On or cancellation of the Sleep
mode.
It enters the Ready mode within 30 sec after cancellation of the Low Power mode.
Description of Each Mode

Running Mode:
When the system is running paper or logging

Ready Mode:
When the system can enter the Running mode immediately
•
Low Power Mode*:
The mode that reduces the power consumption more than the Ready
mode

Sleep Mode:
The mode that reduces the power consumption more than the Low Power mode
*: Applies to the International Energy Star Program.
1. 1. 7 FPOT (First Print Output Time)
IOT FPOT (First Print Output Time) is defined as follows.
This is defined by using the IOT functionality when the ESS did not have the IOT wait.
The required time from when the Start command is received in the Ready mode to when the
lagging edge of the first paper passes through the Exit Roller. However, the jobs during the
recovery from the Low Power or Sleep mode and immediately after Power On are excluded.

<B/W Priority Mode>
For the job at 194 mm/s, printing can be performed immediately because the home position of
the 1st BTR is at the Retract position. However, for the job at 104 mm/s or 52 mm/s, the
FCOT becomes longer by the required time for 1st BTR Contact operation.
<Color Priority Mode>
In this case, the conditions are in reverse: the home position of the 1st BTR is at the Contact
position. Therefore, for the jobs at 104 mm/s or 52 mm/s, printing can be performed
immediately. However, for the jobs at 194 mm/s, the FCOT becomes longer by the required
time for the 1st BTR Retract operation.
