Use the following procedure for editing thumbnails.
1
Attach a text memo to video you want to edit.
➝
Refer to “Attaching Text Memos” (page 64).
2
Change thumbnail display to text memo display.
3
Move to the row below the text memo and move the
cursor to the thumbnail you want to edit.
4
Press the MENU button.
5
Use the cursor buttons to choose [OPERATION] –
[EXCH. THUMBNAIL] and press the SET button.
6
Select [YES] and press the SET button.
The menu closes and the thumbnail reflects the changes
that have been made.
◆
NOTE:
• The Thumbnail field in the clip information display shows the
change in thumbnail location (number of frames from the start).
The number for a normal first thumbnail is 0.
• For how to change the playback start position for playback in
the thumbnail screen, refer to the NOTE in “Playing Back Clips”
(page 59).
1
Open the thumbnail screen.
2
Use the cross cursor buttons to select the clip where
you want to replace a thumbnail.
3
Start playback.
➝
For details, refer to “Playing Back Clips” (page 59).
4
Hold down the ENTRY button and press the TEXT
MEMO button during playback or while displaying a
still picture with JOG/VAR/SHTL.
This selects the frame where the buttons were pressed as
a thumbnail.
5
Press the STOP button to return to the thumbnail
screen.
• The thumbnail is replaced.
• You can also move to the beginning of the clip or allow
the clip to end to return to the thumbnail screen, and the
thumbnail will still be replaced.
◆
NOTE:
• If the ENTRY and TEXT MEMO buttons are pressed several
times, the frame where the two buttons were last pressed is
selected.
• Pressing the ENTRY and the TEXT MEMO buttons
simultaneously places a text memo where the buttons were
pressed. When the number of text memos in a clip reaches 100,
no further thumbnail changes can be made.
• When a thumbnail is being replaced, “UPDATING” appears and
the icon spins in the location of the thumbnail. Do not remove P2
cards at this time.
• Do not remove the P2 card until the thumbnail screen returns. If
the card is removed before this, the thumbnails will not be
replaced.
