3.19 DRAM Clear

Note: Perform a DRAM clear whenever a memory upgrade is added to the unit or the DRAM is

replaced.

1. Press PROGRAM, *, I.

DRAM Clear

Program/Enter

2. Press ENTER.

DRAM Clear
Check Program/Enter

3. Press ENTER. The DRAM will be clear.

Note: To finish the operation without performing initialization, press STOP or PROGRAM.

3.20 JP4, JP5 Battery Backup

Jumper JP4 on the main control PCB is used for battery back-up of the SRAM. All user programmed
data and internal memory switch settings are held in SRAM. Removing JP4 will initialize the SRAM. If
the power is turned off, the battery will provide up to five years of back-up when fully charged.

Jumper JP5 on the main control PCB is used for battery back-up of the DRAM. Removing JP5 will
initialize the DRAM. If the power is turned off, the battery will provide up to 100 hours of back-up
when fully charged.
