Understanding the function keys
Five keys along the bottom of the unit instantly select the
most commonly used functions, as described below.
The
function key displays your position:
•
directly on the
CHART
screen
•
as GPS lat/lon coordinates
•
as loran TDs (if you have a loran interfaced to the unit)
•
as calculated “Phantom Loran
” TDs (if you don't have a
loran interfaced to the unit)
SOG, COG, distance and bearing, and time and date are also
displayed.
The
function key shows how to steer precisely along a
course line to your current waypoint. It also displays:
•
cross track error
•
estimated time to waypoint
•
estimated time of arrival
