Essentially, when the door is open the unit functions as
though there were no cartridge installed.
If the door becomes damaged, or the latch sensor doesn’t oper-
ate properly, you can bypass the safety feature by pressing the
menu key on the
SERVICE INFORMATION
screen, and then the
key (or
to cancel). The
unit will then allow you to use the cartridge as though the
door were functioning properly.
The bypass remains in effect until you disable it or shut the
unit off. The next time the unit is turned on, the
IGNORE
DOOR
command won’t be in effect. You must re-invoke it by
pressing the
menu key again.
Using the 952’s LCD
test key
Pressing the
key will display a blank screen. This
key is used for the internal testing of the 952’s screen (the 951
doesn’t have an
key). Press any function key to
return to a screen.
CAUTION!
Leaving the access door open may result in serious water
damage to the internal components of your unit. If your access
door is damaged, the unit should be returned to the factory for
repair. The
IGNORE DOOR
command should only be used
for short-term emergencies in the event the access door won’t
close properly.
