Overview
Your IP60 appliance includes an integrated client for Microsoft Terminal Services, allowing you to
remotely access the desktop of each of your computers from anywhere, via the Nokia IP60 Portal. You can
even redirect your printers or ports to a remote computer, so that you can print and transfer files with ease.
Remote Desktop sessions use the Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) on TCP port 3389. This port
is opened dynamically between the Remote Desktop client and the Remote Desktop server as needed,
meaning that the port is not exposed to the Internet, and your constant security is ensured.
Note:
By default, the Microsoft RDP protocol is secured with 128-bit RC4 encryption.
For the strongest possible security, it is recommended to use Remote Desktop over
an IPSec VPN connection. For information on VPNs, see
Working With VPNs
on
page 343.
