Setting the Date and Time
Use the following steps to set the system date and time within
Windows.
1.
Double click the system clock on the taskbar.
2.
Set the time by entering the current hour, minutes, and
seconds in the appropriate fields, hh:mm:ss. Move from
field to field with the Tab key or Shift-tab to move from
right to left.
3.
Set the date by entering the month and year in appropriate
fields. To select the day, click on the numeric day of the
calendar.
Using Diskettes
Follow these steps to insert a 3.5-inch diskette in the standard
diskette drive.
1.
Holding the diskette at its top edge, insert it into the
diskette drive:
label side facing right in desktop systems.
label side up in minitower systems.
2.
Insert the diskette all the way into the drive until you hear
a click.
Note: If your diskette did not come formatted,
you must format it before storing information on
it. See your operating system documentation for
information about formatting a diskette.
