2.5-inch Hard Disk Drive
The standard number of SAS/SATA Hard Disk Drives or solid state drives (SSDs) you can install in a 2.5-inch
Hard Disk Drive is three, and the maximum is five.
Combining SATA/SAS Hard Disk Drives and SSDs
•
Hard Disk Drives (SATA/SAS) and SSDs cannot be combined on BTO servers.
•
A RAID Controller option must be prepared to use SAS Hard Disk Drives together with SSDs.
•
You cannot mix them within the same RAID group (Disk Array).
•
You cannot use a combination of Hard Disk Drives that have differing rotation speeds for SAS Hard Disk
Drives.
•
Mount SATA/SAS Hard Disk Drives in order from slot 0, and mount the SSDs to the remaining slots.
•
You can use a combination of an SAS Hard Disk Drive in the standard cage and an SATA Hard Disk
Drive in the expansion cage.
Important Use Hard Disk Drives specified by NEC. Installing a third-party Hard Disk
Drive might cause a failure of the server and the Hard Disk Drive. You will be
charged for maintenance for failures and damage caused by these products,
even during the maintenance period.
Important Mount Hard Disk Drives in order from slot 0 without skipping slots.
