EXPRESSSCOPE ENGINE 3
3.1
Overview
EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 provides a variety of features using BMC (Baseboard Management Controller),
which is a system management LSI.
EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 monitors the power unit, fans, temperature, and voltage of the server. If you have
the management LAN port connected to the network, you can remotely perform the following over a web
browser or SSH client:
•
Manage the server
•
Remotely control the keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM)*
•
Remotely access a CD/DVD/floppy disk/ISO image/USB memory*.
*
To enable this feature, the optional license for remote management (N8115-04) is required.
Note
(If N8115-04 Remove KVM and Media License if installed)
More than one removable drives other than the actual drive are displayed on the
operating system of the host system. This is a normal operation and these added
removable drives are the virtual removable drives reserved for the remote media
function of EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 (*1).
