Removing the Side Cover 

Remove the side cover by using the following procedure. 

 
1.  Refer to steps 1 to 3 in 

Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal)

 for preparations. 

2.  Unlock the padlock attached to the chassis if 

applicable. 

 

3.  Lay the server so that the side cover faces upward. 

Lay it down slowly and gently. 

 

4.  Remove the side cover. While pressing the two 

release buttons, slide the cover backward and lift it
