Chapter 1 General Description
2.5-inch drive model
(1) Vent Holes Cover
To take air to cool the server
(2) POWER Switch
The switch to turn the server on and off. Press once to turn
on the server. The Power LED lights green when it is on.
Press it again to turn off the server. Hold down the switch
for 4 seconds or more to forcibly turn off, the server.
(3) POWER LED (green/amber)
After the power cord is connected, this LED lights green
during initialization of system.
This LED lights green when the power is ON.
(4) Disk Access LED (green/amber)
This LED lights or flashes green when the internal hard disk
drive is being accessed. It lights amber when the drive is
broken and flashes amber and green alternately when the
array disk is being rebuilt.
(5) STATUS LED (green/amber)
This LED indicates the server status. It lights green when
the server is operating normally and lights or flashes amber
when errors occur.
(6) USB connectors (front)
These connectors are used to connect devices that support
the USB interface.
(7) Front Bezel
This cover protects the front part of the server.
(8) Stabilizer
To mount the server vertically, install as shown in the image
(9) Bezel Lock Tabs (3 at side of Front Bezel)
Tabs to lock Front Bezel to the chassis. Pull toward outside
to disengage Front Bezel.
(10) Optical disk drive
Either of the following drive can be installed.
– DVD-ROM drive
– DVD SuperMULTI drive
The drive provides the following: an eject button to eject the
tray; an LED that indicates hard disk drive access; and an
eject hole for forcibly ejecting the tray.
(11) 3.5-inch Expansion Bay
The bay which can accommodate 3.5-inch device or extra
HDD cage.
(12) Door Lock Key
Locks Front Door.
(13) Front Door
Open this door to handle 2.5-inch hard disk drives. This
door can be locked with Door Lock Key.
