(1) Connecting Hard Disk Drives
This section describes how to connect additional Hard Disk Drives.
(a) For 3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive models
When adding Hard Disk Drives, connect the cables as in the following figure. Install the Hard Disk Drives in
order from the bottom.
Connect the first Hard Disk Drive to SATA0, the second to SATA1.
Note
To connect the SATA cable, connect the right angle connector to the motherboard side
and the straight connector to the Hard Disk Drive side.
You can use the controller on the motherboard to build a RAID System. For more information on the RAID
level you can build and then method for building RAID Systems, see
Chapter 2 (4. RAID System
Configuration)
