4-18 Using the ECU and SCSI Utilities
Advanced menu
Press
F7
to use Advanced menu functions for setting system
parameters. Advanced menu functions are briefly described
as follows.
■
Lock/unlock boards — provides options for locking or
unlocking the settings of a board or the entire system.
Locking the settings prevents changes to the current
settings.
NOTE: You must lock an ISA board configured as
a Generic ISA Adapter board (ISA board without
CFG files) to reserve the selected system
resources. Locking the board prevents the ECU
from using the selected resources to resolve
resource conflicts.
Locking system resources for a Generic ISA
Adapter board can cause changes to the switch and
jumper settings of other boards in the system.
■
View additional system information menu — provides
options to display detailed information about system
specifications and resources.
■
Set verification mode menu — allows you to specify
whether the computer's configuration must be checked
each time you make a change or only when you choose.
CAUTION: Selecting the “Manual Mode” may
cause
conflicts which will prevent the system from
booting.
■
Maintain SCI files menu — provides options regarding
System Configuration Information (SCI) files.
