Press down on the heat sink until the spring clip on
the opposite end of the heat sink is aligned with the
two tabs on the socket.
■
Firmly press down on the heat sink until the spring
clip snaps over the two tabs on the socket.

Reconnect any cables that you may have disconnected.

Turn the system upright and replace the system unit
cover (see “Removing and Replacing the System Unit
Cover” earlier in this chapter).

Storage Device Support
The system board in your computer supports SCSI-2 and
IDE storage devices, including:
■
up to two diskette drives, including the standard
3 1/2-inch, 1.44-MB diskette drive.
■
up to five internal storage devices, such as SCSI or IDE
hard disks and tape drives, including the standard IDE
CD-ROM reader and SCSI or IDE hard disk (depending
on your system’s configuration).
■
up to seven optional external SCSI-2 devices connected
to the SCSI connector at the rear of the unit.
