POST Error Messages
When POST detects an error, it displays an error message on the display unit screen. The following
table lists error messages, descriptions, and actions to take.
On-screen error messages related to devices such as processor, memory, and fans and installation
locations are associated as shown in the figure on pages 8-24 to 8-28.
IMPORTANT:
Take a note on the messages displayed before
consulting with your service representative. Alarm messages are useful
information for maintenance. IPMI information is also useful for
maintenance.

Start the SETUP. If the error cannot be corrected in
spite of the start of SETUP, contact your service

System battery is dead - Replace
and run SETUP.
Contact your service representative to replace the
battery. (After restarting the computer, start the SETUP
to provide the setting again.)

The default values have just been set. Start the SETUP
to provide the setting again. If the error cannot be
corrected, contact your service representative.

Password checksum bad -
Passwords cleared.
The password has just been cleared. Start the SETUP
to provide the setting again.

System timer error.

Real time clock error.

Check date and time setting.
Start the SETUP to set the date and time again. If the
same error occurs successively in spite of the resetting,
contact your service representative.
