1-18 Notes on Using Your EcoPowerGateway
Store the EcoPowerGateway under the storage condition (temperature: –10 to 55°C,
humidity: 20 to 80%, without condensation) to allow internal devices and the
Maintenance card to operate correctly in the next operation.
The EcoPowerGateway contains precision component that is easily affected by drastic
temperature change. If the EcoPowerGateway is used after storage or relocation, make
sure that the EcoPowerGateway is fully adapted to the operating environment.
The Maintenance Card can be powered on by pressing the Maintenance switch or using
the remote power-on feature from the management PC. In either case, you must wait for at
least 30 seconds after the power is supplied to the Maintenance Card (after the AC
POWER lamp on power unit is lit green).
If power-on operation is performed within 30 seconds, you may fail to power on the
Maintenance Card. In such a case, make sure that the power is supplied to the
Maintenance Card, wait for at least 30 seconds, then press the Maintenance switch to turn
on the power.
Do not perform any of the following operation during POST (including similar operations
from external applications).

Press the POWER switch or the Maintenance switch of the EcoPowerGateway.

Remove the power unit from the EcoPowerGateway.

Disconnect the power cords from the power unit of the EcoPowerGateway.
Additional Power Unit and Other Electronic Components
Make sure to use optional devices supported by the EcoPowerGateway. Some non-
supported devices may be physically installed/connected but cause failures of the
EcoPowerGateway as well as malfunctions of the EcoPowerGateway.
It is recommended to use options provided by NEC. Some devices of other vendors are
designed to be available for the EcoPowerGateway. If such an option causes the
EcoPowerGateway to be defected or damaged, you will be charged for the repair even in
the warranty period.
Turn Off the Cellular Phone or Pager
Turn off the cellular phone or pager. Radio interference may cause malfunctions of the
EcoPowerGateway.
