6-4 Troubleshooting
ERROR MESSAGES
If an error occurs in the EcoPowerGateway, an error is notified by various ways. This section
describes the type of error messages.
POST Error Messages
Powering on the maintenance card automatically starts the self-diagnostic program, POST (Power
On Self-Test). When the POST detects any error, it displays an error message and its measure on the
display unit.
Follow the table below to troubleshoot such errors.
IMPORTANT:
Take a note on the messages and beep patterns
displayed before consulting with your service representative. Alarm
messages are useful information for maintenance.
NOTES:
The POST error messages listed below are for maintenance card
itself.
The POST error message contains POST error code. For example,
"8100" represents the error code in the message [8100: Memory
Error detected in DIMM #1].

1. Take one of the following measures to reboot (reset)
the maintenance card.
* Press

* Issue a command from Web browser of
EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 2 or NEC ESMPRO
Manager.
2. Take one of the following measures to power off the
maintenance card and then on.
* Press the Maintenance switch to power off the
maintenance card, then press it again to power on.
* Issue a command from Web browser of
EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 2 or NEC ESMPRO
Manager.
3. If the same error persists, contact your service
representative.

Replace and run SETUP
Contact your service representative.

System CMOS checksum
bad - Default
configuration used
The default configuration of BIOS SETUP is used.
1. Run the BIOS SETUP utility to correct the setting.
2. If the same error persists, contact your service
representative. This error may occur when forced
shutdown is performed during POST.
