9.1.2 Engine – Turning on starting system
DANGER
Rotating and moving engine parts.
Risk of crushing, danger of parts of the body being caught or pulled in!
• Before barring the engine, make sure that there are no persons in the engine's danger zone.
• After finishing work on the engine, make sure that all safety devices are put back in place and all
tools are removed from the engine.
Turning engine on starting system
1.
Release latch of connector X4.
2.
Remove connector from Engine Control Unit.
3.
Turn engine in unloaded condition: Press START button.
4.
Let the engine turn until oil pressure is indicated.
5.
Engine starting stops automatically when the max. admissible time has expired. Repeat this procedure after
approx. 20 seconds as necessary.
6.
Connect connector X4 to Engine Control Unit and latch in position.
