Powered Setup Procedure.
The "Powered Set-Up Procedure" does require connection to the Mains Power Supply so
please ensure that all Covers & Guards are replaced & secure before proceeding. Adjustments
to the Control System & Circuit Boards should only be carried out by fully trained & qualified
personnel.
An Engineering Calibration Plug (Part Number 90-046) will be required to enable access to the
Advanced Tools Section of the Display Screen and an adequate supply of Test Sheets (Part
Number 170-004-01) should be made available for many of the set-up procedures.
The Control System comprises many components, including Power Supplies & Circuit Boards,
some of which require some degree of setting or adjustment. This section describes the
procedures required to carry out this work.
Connect the machine to a suitable Mains Supply & Power Up by releasing the Stop
Switch on the Front Panel. The Display Panel will initially show the ‘ Are you trained
screen. It's worth making a note of the Software revision to ensure it's the
latest available for the machine build level, check this by going to the tools menu
and operating the information button.
There are two Stepper Drive Boards, located on the operator side Panel. These
boards are fitted with
and
. These switches must be set in accordance with the correct Circuit Diagram
issue for the Serial Number of the machine being set up. (See Autofold Wiring
Diagrams)
If the
is not visible, adjust the Brightness & Contrast and channel on the
rear of the touchscreen. See ‘Calibration of touch screen’ on Page 16.
There are two Switched Mode
located on the outside of the op.side
Frame Plate - one 48volt supply and one 24volt supply. The voltage of each supply
should be set to the appropriate level as shown on the Circuit Diagram. The controls for
these settings are located on the top left hand corner of each supply and may be
adjusted using a small insulated electrical screwdriver. It will be necessary to operate
the System Switch on the Front Panel & use a suitable Volt Meter to do this.
Do not use damaged Test Sheets.
