Locking and unlocking

Steering wheel lock

To lock

Turn the emergency key to the “LOCK” position.

Turn the steering wheel until it is locked.

To unlock

Turn the emergency key to the “ACC” position while moving

the steering wheel slightly right and left.

●

Do not leave the emergency key in the “ON” posi-

tion for a long time when the engine is not running
as this will cause discharge of the battery.

●

Do not turn the emergency key to the “START”

position when the engine is running as doing so
could damage the starter motor.

CAUTION

●

Remove the emergency key when leaving the vehi-

cle.
Never leave the key in the vehicle when it is parked.
