5. On diesel-powered vehicles, remove the engine cover.

[2000 models]

Lift up the front of the engine cover to release the 3 grom-
mets (A). Then, pull the engine cover towards you to

release the grommet (B) and remove the cover.

[2200 models]

Lift up the front of the engine cover to release the 4 grom-

mets (A) and remove the cover.

6. Connect one end of one jumper cable to the positive (+)

terminal of the discharged battery (C), and the other end to

the positive (+) terminal of the booster battery (D).
