E00800700208
If the vehicle has run out of fuel while driving, the fuel system
requires bleeding to remove air as described below
1. Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position and keep it
in the position for 1 minute, then return it to the “LOCK”
position. Repeat this operation once or twice.
2. Turn the ignition switch to “START” and keep it in this
position for 10 to 20 seconds to start the engine.
NOTE
●
If the engine does not start, repeat from procedure 1.
●
After refuelling, it may take more time to start the engine,
but after driving a while starting will be normal.
WARNING
!
●
If there is none, ensure the engine has cooled down
before removing the radiator cap (B) (petrol-pow-
ered vehicles) or reserve tank cap (C) (diesel-pow-
ered vehicles), otherwise hot steam or boiling water
will gush out of the filler port and may scald you.
CAUTION
!
●
Do not add coolant while the engine is hot. Suddenly
adding cold coolant could damage the engine. Wait
for the engine to cool down, then add coolant a little
at a time.
